MIT Conference on Computation,
Combustion, and Energy:
A Meeting in Honor of
Professor Ahmed Ghoniem
October 3-4, 2024
Hosted at MIT
A conference is being organized to honor Professor Ahmed Ghoniem, in celebration of his more than 40 years of commitment to education and research at MIT. Ahmed is currently the Ronald C. Crane (1972) Professor, Director of the Center for Energy and Propulsion Research, and Director of the Reacting Gas Dynamics Laboratory, in the Mechanical Engineering department at MIT, which he joined in 1983. He has been an internationally known leading figure in the computation, combustion, and energy communities for the past 40 years, and has taught and mentored generations of students, postdocs, and collaborators. This event brings together a distinguished international group of academic, laboratory and industry researchers, including former students and current/past collaborators and colleagues, to discuss latest advances and progress at the nexus of computations, combustion, and energy research. Further details on the agenda will be continually added to this website.
